At Kanbe’s, we believe that food waste is an ugly, but fixable problem. Every year, millions of pounds of produce gets sent to landfills simply because of cosmetic flaws or surplus product.
That’s where we come in. In partnership with local wholesalers, we rescue thousands of pounds of produce every week. This year, our team has a goal of redirecting 1 million pounds of produce from landfills. Each ticket sold to the Ugly Dinner Series supports our produce redirection goal.

We will come together in the warm glow of their candles, as they incorporate our produce into a menu that reflects what they do best. Lazia, Crossroads Hotel's signature restaurant, marries traditional Italian with modern influence, offering special consideration for sourced ingredients from the farms and fields of the Midwestern American heartland.
Dinner guests will enjoy a 4 course meal, with pours paired by Lazia and a table filled with friends and traditional Italian cuisine with a modern influence. Highlighting the culinary expertise of their Chef de Cuisine Chef Michael Martinez & Chef Hansel Dacanay, incorporating rescued produce from us!
